Bharathidasan University is a university in the city of Tiruchirapalli, Tamilnadu state, India. Bangalore University (BU) is a public university located in Bangalore, Karnataka State, India. The university is one of the oldest in India, dating as far back as 1886, and is renowned as one of the leading major universities in India. The university is a part of The Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and nears the status of "Potential for Excellence" which is reserved for the top 10 universities in India under the Guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC).

Gulbarga University was a post graduation centre of Karnatak University, India. In 1980 The Government of Karnataka enacted a law and gave it the status of university. Its jurisdiction extends to the five districts of Gulbarga District, Bidar District, Raichur District, Bellary District and Koppal District of Hyderabad Karnataka. The main campus is located 10 km away from the Gulburga city centre. The university has more than 37 teaching departments and 4 research centres. The university has a qualified staff of more than 200 members and around 1000 technical and non-technical staff members. The university also has several affiliated colleges.

The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, named after Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III, the former ruler of Baroda, is one of the premier universities of India located in the city of Baroda in Gujarat state. It is popularly known as M.S.University (MSU). Originally known as the Baroda College of Science (established 1881), it became a university in 1949 after the independence of the country.
